What is going on with Terrifier 3? Well, it seems as though the third movie starring Art The Clown is going to happen, at least, according to the franchise’s creator/writer and director, Damien Leone. This is very, very good news if you ask me because the Terrifier movies are terrific, and they’re keeping the candle burning for genuinely inventive independent horror films.
Leone revealed that a third movie is “all but guaranteed” during an interview with Slash Film back in September. I know that this interview was conducted a while ago, but given how well the second film has been doing at the box office in the United States, it seems as though Leone is going to get even more money to work on the third film.

Here’s what Leone had to say when he was asked about a third movie in the Terrifier franchise:
Right now, I would like to just tell a solid story where it has a nice arc for my heroes, my villains, it’s complete. So a three is, I can almost guarantee a part three. After that? We’ll see if there’s anything left and if the fans still are still accepting of this character and this franchise.
Terrifier 2 has been released in selected cinemas in the United States, and it’s been doing incredibly well at the box office and with audiences. There have been reports of some audience members fainting and vomiting while watching the movie. However, it does seem as though those reports were slightly overblown. There were a few cases of fainting and vomiting, but it was nowhere near the levels that were being reported.

It really does seem as though Art The Clown just cannot be stopped! He is doing very well, and it seems as though there is a big appetite for more movies in this independent horror movie franchise. Let’s wait and see what ends up happening and whether Leone will get to make the third movie in the franchise.
Here’s Terrifier 2’s plot synopsis:
After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County where he must hunt down and destroy a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. As the body count rises, the siblings fight to stay alive while uncovering the true nature of Art’s evil intent.
The sequel is currently in a handful of cinemas across the United States. There’s still no news on when the film will be released in the United Kingdom. It was screened at this year’s FrightFest in London. However, there have been no screenings of the film since. Fingers crossed, it does end up being released in the UK and gets a worldwide release.
