Superman And Batman Reportedly To Join Wonder Woman In Trinity

If you’ve ever read any DC comics then you know about The Holy Trinity. Consisting of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, these three are considered the “Gods” of DC Comics. So it would only make sense that Warner Bros. would like to bring the Trinity to the big screen.

We did get to see Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman together – albeit very shortly – in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman. The highlight of the film to some, it was our first glimpse of Wonder Woman on the big screen. And not to mention her amazing theme score by Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL. You can listen to it right here. You know you do now that I’ve brought it up.

A new report by Mikey Sutton of Geekosity states that Warner Bros. is currently discussing a Trinity film with Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. Apparently, this is to come after their planned World’s Finest film, which we reported about here.

Mikey Sutton had this to say about a potential Trinity film with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman:

If that pairing [World’s Finest] delivers a substantial hit, it could lead to another Golden Age superhero joining them in a sequel. DC Films bases their decisions on success; if it works, produce more. This differs from Marvel Studios which has their future already mapped out years in advance. DC Films has a “wait and see” philosophy, a more conservative approach which explains so many movies linked to Batman in some fashion. In that regard, there’s been talk of World’s Finest expanding into Trinity.

Warner Bros. and DC Films being very reactionary to critics and box office numbers is very true. It seems they are waiting to see how successful Zack Snyder’s Justice League and Matt Reeves’ The Batman will be before making any concrete decisions about their franchise.

That’s not to say they haven’t started planning out where they would like to go, as this report suggests. I, for one, would love to see Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Afflecks Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in a Trinity film.

When will Warner Bros. and DC Films let us know? Most likely not until the receipts come in.
