It’s been revealed that Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn is reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ for a role in the upcoming Marvel Studios movie, Fantastic Four. This report comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot. They claim that he’s being looked at for the role of Reed Richards, which I think would be an interesting casting.
Many names have been attached to the Reed Richards role over the past few months. However, the main name I’ve seen out there is, of course, John Krasinski. He played the role in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, and there were even some rumours that Marvel might be looking at the actor/filmmaker to direct the movie. However, that gig ended up going to WandaVision director Matt Shakman after Spider-Man: Homecoming director, Jon Watts, ended up pulling out of the project due to ‘creative differences’ with Marvel Studios. They seem to use that excuse a lot these days…

Another name that comes up a lot in relation to the role of Reed Richards in this MCU Fantastic Four movie is Penn Badgley. His name cropped up a few times. Outlets reported that he was in talks with Marvel Studios for the role, and I think he would also be a good choice. It does seem as though Marvel is looking at younger actors for this upcoming movie.
I think that’s the best way to go since it would be good to see a slightly younger Fantastic Four. I’m not talking super young. I’m just saying that it would be nice to see them grow into their powers, and it would also explain why the iconic Marvel superhero team haven’t been around in the MCU until now.
When will the Fantastic Four movie be released?

One of the big questions I have is when will this movie see the light of day? Well, it was revealed by Kevin Feige at this year’s San Deigo Comic-Con that the movie will be part of the MCU’s Phase 6 and will be released on November 8th, 2024. However, that date was then pushed back to February 14th, 2025.
So, we still have quite a long time to wait before the movie is finally released, and it seems they are still in the casting phase. This is to be expected given that the movie has changed the director. We’ve been informed that one of the big differences between Jon Watts and Marvel Studios was to do with the film’s casting. They seemed to have very different ideas about who should be in the movie.
It’s going to be interesting to see who Marvel ends up casting as the Fantastic Four. They will play a huge part in the MCU moving forward, and they have to make sure they cast the right people. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any more casting rumours, and we’re in constant communication with our own sources when it comes to all things Marvel-related. So, we will let you know as soon as we get any new juicy information about the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
Fantastic Four is set to be released in theatres in the United States and the United Kingdom on February 14th, 2025.
