It’s been revealed that Star Trek: Picard Season 2’s release date has been delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic which is delaying everything.
Star Trek: Picard Season 1 was brilliant. I really loved seeing Patrick Stewart back as Jean-Luc Picard.
It was also a really good story and ending of a pretty interesting cliffhanger.
I was really looking forward to seeing what could happen next for Picard and his new crew.
However, it’s looking like we might have to wait a bit longer for Star Trek: Picard Season 2.
The show’s executive producer, Akiva Goldsman, revealed that Star Trek: Picard Season 2 was supposed to start next month.
However, that’s now been pushed back to due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Goldsman made it very clear during a recent interview with Collider that there was no chance they’d start shooting next month.
It looks like Star Trek: Season 2’s release date might have been pushed back
This is obviously very frustrating for all us Star Trek: Picard fans.
Yet, Goldsman did reveal that production would get underway the minute get going again.
We were to start shooting in June, which I guarantee you we will not unless the world opens tomorrow. We had broken the season, we were about halfway through the writing of it. You know, we will start as soon as we can once the world opens, you know?
Prep will have to resume, and then we’ll start. We know what it is, and it’s cool. And we’re excited by it, and I feel like we learned a lot from season one. It’s… of the things I have in my life it is the one that is most imminent when the world opens. It’s the one that feels like that’s the thing, at least in my life, that’s going to come back fastest.
