Star Trek 4 Director Noah Hawley Teases His Film Might Be A Reboot

Star Trek 4 is starting to be a really perplexing movie for me. I’m just not sure what to expect. Will be a continuation of the current Star Trek movie franchise or will it be a reboot?

We have absolutely no idea, but I’m excited to see what the film’s current writer and director Noah Hawley will do with a Star Trek movie.

Hawley is one of the most promising directors and writers working in Hollywood today. He’s mainly done TV shows such as Legion and Fargo.

However, it sounds like people over at Paramount Pictures still aren’t too certain what this movie will be, and it sounds like them and Hawley are still working things out.

Hawley recently spoke to Deadline about Star Trek 4, and he revealed that they’re still working things out.

I have my own take on Star Trek… Star Trek is about exploration and humanity at its best, and diversity and creative problem-solving.

For me, it’s about getting to those elements of the show. I don’t necessarily find action in and of itself interesting, unless it’s story.

So, it’s early days, I’m still talking with Paramount, and I have a take and I’ve got to write a script.

This sounds very interesting indeed. It sounds like Hawley wants to put his own unique spin of the Star Trek franchise and I’m all for that.

The only thing I’m wondering about now is whether the likes of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana will return.

Simon Pegg recently revealed that the actors still don’t know what’s happening with Star Trek 4, so it might mean that they might not be asked to come back.

What do you make of this news? Would you like to see Star Trek 4 be a reboot or would you like to see the whole gang come back for the next movie?
