We heard this weekend that Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2 was going to be coming out in April 2022, which is wonderful news.
The first film was a cinematic masterpiece and arguably one of the best comic book movies ever made because it literally felt like you were watching a comic book come to life in front of your eyes.
Anyway, the second film is now in development over at Sony Animation, and I for one cannot wait to see what they do next with Miles Morales and the rest of the Spider-Man crew.
The first film saw the beginning of Morales’ journey as Spider-Man, and he got to meet all the other versions of the hero from different dimensions thanks to the Spider-Verse accidentally being opened by the supervillain, King Pin.
There was Peter Parker, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker. And now, we’re hearing that Spider-Woman is going to be involved in the sequel.

This news comes from We Got This Covered, who’s sources revealed to them that Spider-Woman was going to be playing a part in the sequel.
Spider-Woman also goes by the name of Jessica Drew and she will be making her silver screen debut with this upcoming Sonu Animation movie.
The character first came about in 1977 and she has appeared in several comics since then and even a few video games such as Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.
However, she hasn’t appeared in the Spider-Man TV shows since 1980, which is a great shame because she’s a pretty interesting character and a great superhero.
