Will Spider-Woman Be Joining The Avengers In The MCU?

It’s being reported that Spider-Woman could be joining The Avengers in a future MCU movie, which to me sounds like a good plan.

This report comes to us from Geekosity and they are saying that Marvel is really looking at Spider-Woman as being a big deal in the MCU moving forward.

It still hasn’t been officially revealed yet that Olivia Wilde is actually directing the Spider-Woman movie.

However, we do know that she’s making a Marvel movie for Sony, and the word on the street is that the movie will be a Spider-Woman film.

At the moment, the movie is being referred to as “Untitled Sony/Marvel Project” on IMDb Pro.

However, Wilde did seem to indicate that the film she’s making will have ties to the MCU in an interview she did after it was revealed she was directing this upcoming film for Marvel and Sony Pictures.

Wilde said:

All I can say is that this is by far the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to me because not only do I feel like I get to tell a story that… God, like, listen to me trying to avoid like Kevin Feige’s pellet gun.

So, that’s suggesting that the film she’s making will end up being important as far as the MCU’s concerned.

This means that it won’t be a Sony Marvel movie such as Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage or Morbius.

Those films are very much Sony Pictures films and Marvel Studios isn’t involved in them.

However, a Spider-Woman film would be different.

Mikey Sutton is saying that the reason it’s going to be important for Marvel Studios is that Spider-Woman will be part of The Avengers moving forward.
