Ryan Reynolds Teases Mortal Kombat 2 Role


OK, forgive me for the headline here, but it was just too good not to do. Ryan Reynolds has used the recent speculation surrounding him suggesting that he could be up for Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat 2 to his advantage.

So, there have been a number of people pointing out online that Ryan Reynolds would make an excellent Johnny Cage.

The end of Mortal Kombat teased that the character could be in a possible sequel, and the fans have seemingly already decided that Ryan Reynolds should play the character.

Well, Ryan Reynolds isn’t one to shy away from a challenge.

Nor is he one to shy away from a joke, and he made a brilliant joke about the whole thing on Twitter.

Yep, he used those casting rumours to his advantage perfectly.

He managed to promote his mobile phone network, Mint Mobile in the process.


There aren’t many people in Hollywood quite like Ryan Reynolds.

And yes, I do actually believe Warner Bros. Pictures should try and hire him to play Johnny Cage in the upcoming Mortal Kombat sequel.
