Secret Wars To See Garfield And Maguire Fight Venom

Avengers: Secret Wars will reportedly see Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire both return as their versions of Spider-Man and they could fight Venom in Marvel Studios’ movie if a new report is to be believed. The new report in question comes from Geekosity.

They are claiming that they’ve been informed by their sources that Marvel Studios is planning on bringing Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in the second Avengers movie to be released in Phase 6. Insiders have told them that Marvel’s President, Kevin Feige, is very keen on having the two actors return as their respective versions of Spider-Man and battle Venom.

However, there’s a twist to this report. According to Geekosity, Maguire and Garfield’s Spider-Men will not be fighting Tom Hardy’s Venom. Rather, the outlet is claiming that they’ll be battling Tom Holland’s Spider-Man who’s been infected by the symbiote.

This will be a result of the little bit of symbiote that stayed in the MCU’s universe after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. This sounds very, very interesting to me, and it sounds as though Holland’s Peter Parker will be going through some tough times in the upcoming MCU movies.

So, it sounds as though Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is going to be battling Venom in the MCU, which is actually really exciting news. He’s going to have to go through the struggles of battling this symbiote, and a lot of this battle will take place in Parker’s own head.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how Marvel Studios will tackle this storyline that we’ve seen in the comics and also in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. I think that Kevin Feige and all the people involved in the Spider-Man movies will be able to do this justice.

Interestingly enough, we still don’t know when the next Spider-Man movies will be released. Kevin Feige didn’t announce anything Spider-Man-related at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. That was to be expected since Sony Pictures is still in control of the marketing for the Spider-Man films.

However, it does seem as though Marvel is interested in using the symbiote/Venom in at least one of the upcoming Avengers movies. We still don’t know who’ll be directing the second Avengers movie.

It was revealed that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Cretton directed the first Shang-Chi movie and it’s still believed that he’ll also get to direct the movie’s sequel. However, Marvel Studio’s has also tasked him with making the first of the upcoming Avengers movies.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be going through a lot of changes in the next movies. After the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, no one will really know who he is.

His former girlfriend, MJ (played by Zendaya) doesn’t know who he is, and neither does Peter’s childhood friend, Ned Leeds (played by Jacob Batalon). Peter also lost his aunt, May (Marisa Tomei), who died during the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

I must say that things are looking rather bleak as far as Holland’s Spider-Man’s concerned. And, now we’re hearing that he’ll be infected with the symbiote, and that will trigger Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men to return to battle this new form of Venom.

Geekosity does state that it’s highly likely that Holland’s Spider-Man will first bond with the alien parasite in the Avengers movie. This is actually something that happened in the original comic-book storyline.

The outlet also states that Maguire’s Peter Parker will warn Holland about wearing the suit after going through his own experiences with the symbiote. It seems as though his advice will be falling on deaf ears.
