It’s being rumoured that Welsh actor Rhys Ifans will be returning as the Lizard in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which would be brilliant if true.

This was revealed by a Spider-Man: No Way Home leaker on Twitter.

Here’s what the leaker had to say on Ifans returning as the Lizard in No Way Home:

Rhys Ifans will play the lizard in NWH [Spider-Man: No Way Home]. His lizard is after the events of TASM 1 [The Amazing Spider-Man]. He will look same as TASM 1 with some changes including lab coat and purple pants giving it a more comic accurate look. He will not turn to his human form until the extreme end of the movie.

Rhys Ifans could be coming back as the Lizard in Spider-Man: No Way Home

This would be an interesting development, and it did seem as though we saw the Lizard’s hand in Spider-Man: No Way Home’s recent trailer.

It would make sense for the movie to feature Rhys Ifans’ return as the iconic Spider-Man villain.

He was excellent in the first The Amazing Spider-Man movie and deserves another chance at playing the character.

So, this means that the movie will feature Doc Ock, Green Goblin and Electro.

There have been rumours that the film could also see cameos from the likes of Venom, Mysterio and maybe even Rhino.
