Patrick Stewart Reveals He’s Talked To Kevin Feige About Playing Professor X In The MCU

Patrick Stewart has revealed that he and Kevin Feige have had talks about Professor X in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He revealed this during a recent interview with Digital Spy.

What’s going to happen to Charles Xavier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Will we get to see Patrick Stewart play the role again? Or, will they get James McAvoy back to play Professor X?

Another possible thing they could do is recast the role. We know that they will be bringing the X-Men into the MCU in the (hopefully) not-so-distant future. That means that Professor X will be coming to the MCU, because you can’t have the X-Men without Charles Xavier.

Here’s what Patrick Stewart had to say when he was asked whether he and Kevin Feige have spoken about him playing Professor X in the MCU:

I met with Kevin Feige a couple of months ago and we had long, long conversations. And there have been moves and suggestions, which include Charles Xavier. Here’s the problem, if we had not made Logan, then yes. I would probably be ready to get into that wheelchair one more time and be Charles Xavier. But Logan changed all that.

It sounds to me like Sir Patrick Stewart is done playing Charles Xavier, but everybody has their price. I’m pretty sure that Marvel Studios and Disney could offer him enough money to convince him to return to the role.
