Emily Blunt Reportedly In Talks With Marvel Studios For Susan Storm Role

edge-of-tomorrow 2 Emily blunt

It’s being reported that Emily Blunt is in talks with Marvel Studios, and the rumour’s claiming that it’s for the role of Susan Storm. This is being reported by Giant Freakin Robot.

This, of course, is something that we reported on exclusively a while back. However, this new report is basically confirming what we said before. We were told by sources close to Marvel Studios that both Emily Blunt and her husband, John Krasinski were in talks with Marvel Studios to star in their upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

Both actors have had an interesting past with Marvel. Blunt was almost cast as Black Widow before Scarlet Johansson eventually landed the role. As for John Krasinski, he was one of the actors who was up for the role of Captain America. That role eventually went to Chris Evans.

What Giant Freakin Robot is saying is that Blunt is in ongoing talks with Marvel Studios and it looks like her role in the MCU is going to be announced shortly. They then go on to theorize that the role she’s up for is Susan Storm.

I can safely say that Blunt will be playing Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. It’s pretty much a given at this point. Whether Krasinski will be joining her in the movie remains to be seen.

However, I can’t think of anyone better for the role of Mr Fantastic than him, and we were told that he’s also in talks with Marvel. The Fantastic Four movie is going to be directed by Jon Watts who’s currently working on Spider-Man 3.
