Mike Colter Responds To Luke Cage MCU Casting Rumours

There have been rumours that Mike Colter might be coming back to the MCU as Luke Cage and the actor has (sort of) responded to those rumours.

Mike was on The View and he was asked about the recent rumours that he might be returning as Luke Cage in the MCU.

Mike began by coming up with some very detailed story about how he ended up in the same place as fellow Netflix Marvel actor, Krysten Ritter, and decided to take a selfie with her.

There have been rumours that he might be coming back as Luke Cage after he posted the image on Instagram.

We’ve already heard rumours that Ritter will be returning as Jessica Jones in one of the upcoming MCU Disney Plus shows.

This all comes after we saw both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio return as the characters they played in the Marvel Netflix shows.

Here’s what Colter had to say about bumping into Ritter in a strawberry patch:

You know it was funny, we live in a neighbourhood really close to each other. And we bumped into each other at a strawberry patch that was like an hour away. We just happened to be in the same place hanging out with our kids. I bumped into another actor that I did not know and he’s like, ‘Oh yeah, Krysten’s here!’ And I thought, they were friends. So I texted her and she pops up in front of me and we hung out, letting the kids play.

He was then called out by one of the hosts who said that he was adding too many details to the story, which is a sign that he was lying.

Mike laughed and then said:

Forget the strawberry patch. I don’t know what’s going on with Marvel. I loved working with her and I really don’t know anything other than that. That’s it.
