Evangeline Lilly has come under fire from her fellow Marvel actors over her anti-vaccine mandate comments.
Last weekend Lilly attended an anti-vaccine mandate in Washington D.C. and also took to Instagram to voice her opposition to mandatory vaccinations.
In response, both her Marvel co-stars David Dastmalchian and Simu Liu, indirectly called out Evangeline Lilly for her anti-vax comments.
Liu and Dastmalchian blast Evangeline Lilly’s anti-vaccine comments as “irresponsible” and “not rooted in science”
In his response, Lilly’s Ant-Man franchise co-star David Dastmalchian condemned Lilly for her comments, calling them “irresponsible”:
Shang-Chi star Simu Liu also called out Lilly, highlighting his own personal experience with the disease and how Lilly’s viewpoint could be considered harmful:
I lost my grandparents to COVID last year. They were still waiting for their vaccines. I'm fortunate to have been double-vaccinated and boosted when I got COVID 2 weeks ago. Felt like a cold.
The media needs to stop spotlighting opinions that are not rooted in facts or science.

It is worth re-emphasising the importance of Liu’s last point there.
It’s important in a public health crisis to listen to the science and to the experts, and to not peddle misinformation.
This isn’t the first time Lilly has been in trouble for some comments she made regarding the COVID pandemic.
At the start of the pandemic in March 2020, she came under fire after she made comments saying she refused to self-isolate.
She later apologised for those comments.
All of this is probably not want Marvel would want given what happened with Letitia Wright and the problems that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has endured during its production.
