Vincent D’Onofrio Wants To Play Kingpin In Spider-Man 4

Vincent D’Onofrio is keen to reprise his role as Wilson Fisk in future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) projects.

As reported by Screen Rant, D’Onofrio has not been coy about his desire to don the Kingpin’s suit once more.

D’Onofrio first played the role in Daredevil, before a most welcome return in last year’s Hawkeye.

Speaking on an episode of The Sarah O’Connell Show, D’Onofrio was asked about which Marvel characters he’d like to see Kingpin interact with:

All of them. I mean, it’s obvious that Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man are the ones that my character is tied to in the comic books. But there’s plenty of room for others, I can just only hope that that happens. But I mean, Spider-Man definitely. I think that would be really really fun.

A spin off series focusing on Kingpin’s niece Maya has been confirmed, so it stands to reason that Kingpin could appear in that.

Plus, the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home indicates that a fourth film is surely going to be greenlit at some point in the future.

And as we all saw, Charlie Cox made a welcome return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

But, Tom Holland has been hesitant about committing his future to Spider-Man.

Even though Amy Pascal seems confident that another trilogy starring Holland is in the works.

Should that fourth film happen, it makes sense for Kingpin and Spidey to go face to face, because as D’Onofrio correctly points out, they have history in the comics.

Could we see Spider-Man and Daredevil team up to take on Kingpin?

Let’s hope that Marvel and Sony can make this happen.
