It’s been revealed that Marvel Studios has met with Jonathan Majors’ management and agent after the recent allegations made against him. This whole story is very odd, and it doesn’t really look good for Majors.
Jonathan Majors was on top of the world. He starred in two films that both occupied the number-one spot at the worldwide box office in Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania and Creed 3. However, soon after that, this story came out about Majors reportedly abusing and harming his girlfriend.
This resulted in the police being called to the scene, and Majors was subsequently arrested. Since then, people have been wondering what Marvel Studios would do with regard to the actor and his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Will Marvel get rid of Jonathan Majors and recast Kang?
Well, according to Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic Podcast, Marvel Studios has already spoken to the actor’s agent about the situation, and they are mulling over what to do with this whole mess. Here’s what Sneider had to say on the matter:
I’ve heard that Marvel hasn’t made any decisions regarding Jonathan Majors, but they have either met with or spoken to his agent to discuss potential options going forward.
All of this has put Marvel in a tough spot because they have put a lot of faith in Majors by casting him as Kang the Conqueror. He was going to be the MCU’s next big bad, the next Thanos, if you will, and now it could all be coming to an end.
The thing is, since Majors was arrested and these allegations were made against him, a lot of people who’s worked with the actor in the past have come out claiming that he’s a sociopath and a very cold person. Some people have even claimed that he was difficult to work with.

That’s not really something that you should fire a person for. Some people might not like you whilst working with you and might find you cold and distant. That’s not the problem. The problem here is that a pattern is starting to form when it comes to Majors.
I am still not sure what Marvel will do with Majors. I have a feeling that this might end up all blowing over, and I’m sure that Marvel Studios and Disney are hoping it will because they can’t really afford to recast him.
Majors is going to be returning as Kang in Loki Season 2, and there were also rumours that he’s going to be turning up in Moon Knight Season 2. Then there are the upcoming Avengers movies. The next one is called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, so I’m pretty sure that Majors was set to be the main villain in that picture. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Kang was going to play a part in Avengers: Secret Wars too.

So, to sum up, Marvel Studios and the MCU are in a real mess right now. It’s surprising because I would have expected Marvel and Disney to have thoroughly vetted Majors before hiring him.
I do wonder, however, whether they knew about the claims that he was known amongst his peers at Yale University and Julliard as being a bit of a sociopath. I wouldn’t be surprised, and I think they would have thought that Majors was just too good an actor to pass on.
