Will Tom Huddleston’s Loki Be The MCU Phase 4’s Main Villain?

There is a rumour making the rounds on the Internet suggesting that Tom Hiddleston’s character, Loki, might end up being Phase 4’s main villain in the MCU.

Loki’s many people’s favourite MCU character and there’s good reason for that.

Tom Hiddleston’s performance is probably the main reason.

He’s a wonderfully charming villain and much of that is down to Hiddleston’s ability to be both slimy and charming at the same time.

Loki’s also a pretty sinister guy and Hiddleston’s able to bring all those character traits together perfectly.

He’s someone you’re supposed to both dislike and like at the same time, which isn’t an easy thing to do.

Hiddleston’s arguably one of the best things about the movies he’s in.

He’s definitely the best thing about Thor: The Dark World, which is easily the worst movie in the MCU.

Loki’s arch in it is really interesting, but the problem with his character is that he went from being a villain to being a sort of anti-hero.

Loki is a bad guy, and it sounds like Marvel’s writers might have realised that.

He’s only ever out from himself, and yet over the course of the first three phases of the MCU Loki’s become more than just a villain wanting to end up on the winning side.

He gets to die a hero at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War and for many people, that was the end of Loki.

However, we then got Avengers: Endgame and with that came a whole time-travelling plot line which means that the first Avengers movie version of Loki is now free.

This is the version of Loki we’re most-likely going to get in the upcoming Disney Plus series.

But what does that mean for the character’s arch. He’s not going to experience the events of Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War.

He’s just going to be the Loki we knew from The Avengers, and he will be only out for himself.

This means that we’re going to see the real God of Mischief.

There’s also the fact that Taika Waititi recently didn’t want to admit whether Loki was in his upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder movie or not.

He was asked this during a recent Q&A session on Instagram Live and he said that he couldn’t comment on whether Tom Hiddleston was in his movie.

This has got a lot of people thinking that he will be in the movie.

If we wasn’t, then Waititi would have just said no, right?

This all means that we probably will see even more of Hiddleston’s new version of Loki in Phase 4 of the MCU.

He might not end up being the main villain, but he’ll probably have his fingers in many evil pies.

That’s the Loki we’ve now got. I think Hiddleston might enjoy playing an even more sinister version of the character

He’s often described as a ‘Shakespearean’ actor and he got to do a bit of that in Thor and The Avengers.

However, that side of the character’s been forgotten about of late.

It would be nice to see him explore it again.
