Everybody’s very excited for the upcoming Loki TV show which is coming to Disney Plus is 2021.
The show will star Tom Hiddleston as Loki whom he’s been playing in the MCU for years now.
Marvel fans were treated to their very first taste of the Loki Disney Plus series in a new Super Bowl trailer.
In this Marvel Disney Plus shows trailer, there was a brief clip from Loki, in which the trickster says, “I’m going to burn this place to the ground”.
It does seem as though Loki’s in prison attire, which means he might end up getting caught in the show.
It’s already been revealed that Loki’s going to have a time-travel element to it, which I really can’t wait to see.
Anyway, fans saw this clip from the upcoming Disney Plus show and compared Hiddleston’s Loki to Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.
Many fans took to Twitter to point out the similarities between Loki and the Joker.

Does Hiddleston’s Loki resemble Phoenix’s Joker?

There are definite similarities between Hiddleston’s Loki and Phoenix’s Joker.
First off, they’re both wearing similar clothes and have matching hairstyles.
That said, Loki’s had this hairstyle for quite some time.
Then there’s what Loki says in the clip, which sounds very ‘Joker-ish’.
“I’m going to burn this place to the ground,” sounds like something the Clown Prince of Crime would say.
Maybe not Phoenix’s Joker. It sounds like something Mark Hamill’s Joker might say in the Batman Animated Series.
This clip has made me think that Hiddleston wouldn’t have made a bad Joker.
He’d actually be a very good choice for the role.
