Liam Neeson Will Retire From Action Movies – But He Has A Few Left In Him

Liam Neeson has revealed that he will be retiring from making action movies, yet he added he still has a few left in him. He revealed this during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Neeson is one of my favourite actors of all time. I’d go as far to say that he’s a Small Screen favourite, along with Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise. Three incredible action movie stars, however, Liam Neeson only started doing action films after he was 50 years old.

He broke into the action movie scene with Taken and he then went on to make a name for himself in the movie genre. He’s been in a bunch of Taken movies since, but he’s also given us the likes of Cold Pursuit, The Commuter, The A-Team, Unknown, Non-Stop, A Walk Among The Tombstones, Run All Night and my personal favourite of his, The Grey.

However, Neeson’s going to call it quits on action movies, yet he does have few more left in him. Here’s what Neeson had to say about retiring from action movies in the future:

I’m 68 and a half. 69 this year. There’s a couple more I’m going to do this year – hopefully, COVID allowing us – there’s a couple in the pipeline and, then I think that will probably be it.

He then joked that he might appear in action movies “on a Zimmer frame or something.” He revealed that he came to this decision after filming his upcoming movie, Blacklight. However, he did add: “I love beating up guys half my age”.
