Jonah Hill And Lauren London Kiss In You People Was CGI

Why wouldn’t Jonah Hill and Lauren London kiss on the set of You People…? There’s a new movie on Netflix called You People that’s been making headlines all over the world and for a very strange reason. The movie stars Jonah Kill, Lauren London and Eddie Murphy.

The movie has been performing pretty well on the streaming platform. However, it hasn’t been getting very good reviews from the critics. And we’ve now heard from one of the actors involved in the movie that the film’s final kiss wasn’t real!

Imagine watching a movie, and then finding out that the final kiss in the movie’s final scene was actually all CGI! It’s just so strange, and one of the things I want to know is why Jonah Hill and Lauren London didn’t want to kiss for real? What was happening on the movie’s set?

According to Andrew Schulz (via Ahmed on Twitter), Jonah Hill and Lauren London didn’t actually kiss in the movie’s final scene. He claims that that scene was edited using CGI, which is utterly insane!

Here’s what Schulz had to say on the matter:

There’s a hilarious thing. I don’t know if I should share this here. But, the final scene, they don’t even kiss. It’s CGI. Swear to God, man.

Schulz was then asked how that could be possible. Here’s how he explained what happened on the movie’s set:

I’m there. I’m watching the wedding, and I see them go in for the kiss and their faces stop like this far, and I’m like, “I wonder how they’re going to play in that in the movie? Oh, they’re probably just going to cut right there.” But the movie, you can see their faces come close, and then you can see their faces morph a little bit into a fake kiss.

Why didn’t they want to kiss on set?

There have been stories and rumours of this sort of thing happening between actors in the past. There were rumours that Tom Holland and Zendaya’s kiss in Spider-Man: Far From Home was faked using CGI.

I’m pretty sure those rumours weren’t true and it might have actually been a joke that was started on Twitter or Reddit. However, there have been actors who’ve refused to go through with a scene in a movie because they didn’t get on with their colleagues.

It happens far more often than you might think. So, it sounds like Jonah Hill and Lauren London might not have been getting on whilst filming You People. Or, there might be another reason. Maybe COVID had something to do with it?

One of the actors might have been worried about catching COVID…? I mean, it’s a bit of a stretch, but it’s a possibility. All of this is just pure speculation because we have no idea what happened between the two actors and why they didn’t go through with the movie’s final kiss scene.

Maybe, in time, something might come out explaining what happened between Hill and London, but until then, we’re just going to have to speculate. We’ll let you know if we hear anything about what went on between the two actors on the movie’s set to cause this friction and awkward final scene.
