Jason Momoa Teases Zack Snyder’s Return To DC

It seems as though Jason Momoa has seemingly teased Zack Snyder’s return to the DC Universe, which has to be brilliant news! However. before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s go over what Mr. Momoa actually said and what we can glean from his words. So, we first have to go over what Momoa had to say about the future of the DC Universe under the new leadership.

Momoa was talking to ET Canada about his upcoming Netflix movie, Slumberland, and during the interview, he was asked about the recent news of Henry Cavill’s return as Superman, the possibility of the Justice League coming back together, and whether he was excited about the future of the DC Universe. Here’s what Momoa had to say on the matter:

I think with Peter Safran and Mr. Gunn at the helm now of DC; I’m very excited about that. There’s a lot of cool things going to be coming up, and one of my dreams come true will be happening under their watch, so stay tuned.

So, the question remains, what was Momoa talking about? What’s one of his “dreams come true”? This is something that I’ve been thinking about, and it’s being reported that he might have been talking about Zack Snyder’s return to the DC Universe. Mikey Sutton posited this over at Geekosity in a recent article, and I have to say that I think there is method in his madness.

In his article, Mikey says that Momoa is a big fan of Snyder’s, and he also pointed at Jason’s glee when he revealed that Ben Affleck would be returning as Batman in Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom. So, with all this in mind, could one of Momoa’s dreams come true be Justice League 2, as directed by Zack Snyder? It’s actually rather possible.

There have been rumours that Justice League 2 might already be in the works over at Warner Bros Discovery. However, the rumours suggested that Andy Muschietti could direct this project. He is still hard at work on his Flash movie, which is reportedly very good. So good, in fact, that Warner Bros Discovery wants him to direct the Justice League sequel.

However, after that news was reported, we then heard rumours that a script for The Flash 2 was already been written, and I would think that Warners might rather have Muschietti direct that movie rather than a Justice League sequel. I suppose all of this depends on how well The Flash does and whether Zack would want to come back. My gut tells me that he would jump at the chance of making another Justice League film.

If there is. Justice League sequel in the works, then really, it should be directed by Zack Snyder and star the Aquaman star, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Gal Gadot. At least, that’s what I think. What do you think?
