Jack Black To Voice Clap Trap In Eli Roth’s Borderlands Movie

It’s been revealed that Jack Black has been cast in Eli Roth’s upcoming Borderlands movie as Claptrap, which is perfect casting. This news was revealed via The Hollywood Reporter.

There are so many incredible actors who’ve already been cast in the Borderlands movie. It seems as though we might be about to see some brilliant video game movie adaptations.

We have the Uncharted movie coming, The Last Of Us series, Minecraft: The Movie, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Tomb Raider 2 to name but a few. Many of these movies and TV shows in The Last Of Us’ case seems like they’re going to be pretty darn good.

As for who else has been cast in Eli Roth’s Borderlands movie, Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart and Jamie Lee Curtis all have roles in the upcoming movie. As for Jack Black, he will be voicing the role of Claptrap, a persistently sarcastic robot that isn’t all that invested in the survival of his teammates.

Eli Roth has already worked with both Black and Blanchett in the 2018 film, The House With a Clock in Its Walls. Here’s what he had to say about this upcoming project of his:

I am so excited to reunite with Jack, this time in the recording booth. Claptrap is the funniest character in the game, and Jack is perfect to bring him to the big screen.
