A lot’s been written and said about Iron Fist over the years. People weren’t enamoured with the Marvel Netflix series. It was easily the worst one of the Marvel Netflix shows, yet it did get better.
There were all sorts of issues with the show and the people behind it just didn’t seem to plan it very well. It ended up with the show being not very popular and people like really liking Finn Jones’ take on the Marvel superhero. However, I don’t believe you can really blame the actor for the show’s poor quality. Anyway, it seems as though Jones will not be getting a second chance to play the role, even though many of the other actors involved in the Marvel Netflix shows will be.
Iron Fist will be joining the MCU, but it won’t be Finn Jones’ version
Here’s what Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity had to say about Marvel Studios bringing Iron Fist into the MCU:
Iron Fist will return, but his arrival under the creative guidance of Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige won’t be televised – at first. According to insiders, Iron Fist is headed to the MCU movies via the Shang-Chi franchise.
This is pretty interesting as far as I’m concerned because Iron Fist is a really great character, and he would fit in very well with some of the upcoming MCU projects. I’m thinking that he would work very well next to Shang-Chi in the future, and Mikey seems to think that’s what’s going to happen.
