Henry Cavill Superman To Be Replaced By Sasha Calle Supergirl

It’s being reported that Henry Cavill’s Superman will be replaced by Sasha Calle’s Supergirl in the upcoming The Flash movie.

This report comes to us via Screen Geek, and we’re going to have to mention at this point that this is a rumour.

That said, their report states that the Andy Muschietti movie is going to see Calle play the Kara Danvers version of Supergirl.

However, that’s not all they say.

The report also adds that Calle’s Supergirl will replace Superman actor Henry Cavill as the DCEU’s last survivor of Krypton.

They go on to state that The Flash movie’s timeline will reboot the DCEU and that it’ll establish that the Kryptonian villain Zod killed Cavill’s Superman as a baby.

Now, that sounds like overkill to me and it would really upset a lot of Henry Cavill Superman fans out there, and there are many of them.

Is The Flash really going to see Sasha Calle’s Supergirl replace Henry Cavill’s Superman in the DCEU?

This would be a huge change for the future of the DCEU and I’m not sure whether it would be a wise one.

This is one of the main reasons why this particular report sounds a bit farfetched to me.

Even Warner Bros. Pictures wouldn’t want to do something as drastic as killing off Cavill’s Superman as a baby!

I understand Sasha Calle’s Supergirl being the new DCEU’s Kryptonian superhero.

That said, I can’t understand why they can’t find a way to have both Superman and Supergirl in the same universe.

What do you make of this rumour?

Would you like to see Sasha Calle’s Supergirl become the DCEU’s new and only Kryptonian superhero?
