So, what happened exactly? Well, on August 17th (so, today), the President of ASTORY (Lee Sang Baek), the production company behind the hit ENA drama series Extraordinary Attorney Woo, revealed that the drama has been renewed for season 2. This is just brilliant news because we are huge fans of the series after having binged all 16 episodes on Netflix pretty darn quickly.

Here’s what President Lee had to say about Extraordinary Attorney Woo getting a Season 2:

Thanks to the support of many viewers, ‘Attorney Woo’ will return with season 2. We hope to air the second season some time in 2024. However, the process of adjusting the schedules of all of the cast members and crew will pose as a significant challenge. Nonetheless, we plan to proceed with season 2 without any cast member changes, or any changes to the production staff.

It seems as though this show has been one of the best-performing South Korean shows on Netflix ever since Squid Game caused a huge splash on the streaming platform (no pun intended). Shows from South Korea have been performing incredibly well on Netflix of late.

The streaming platform has since been investing a lot of money and time into its South Korean and Japanese shows. We’ve seen the likes of Alice In Borderland, All Of Us Are Dead, Kingdom, Hellbound and The Silent Sea all perform well on the streaming platform.

We’re going to be getting a lot of Attorney Woo-related content in the future
