I think it’s safe to say that people haven’t been overly impressed with Doctor Who Season 12, yet there is hope that Season 13 will be better.
The show’s been going on for such a long time now, and this season has been one of the most poorly rated and reviewed season of the BBC series ever.
However, it sounds as if they’re still going to do more of them, and that the showrunner, Chris Chibnail will remain in charge, which is actually slightly worrying.
One thing I am happy about is that the current Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, has revealed to Entertainment Weekly that she’s going to be returning for Doctor Who Season 13.
She told them that she will be coming back to the BBC One show for at least one more season, but she’s not so sure what will happen beyond that.
Here’s what she had to say on the matter:
Yes, I’m doing another season. That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie! [Laughs] I absolutely adore it. At some point, these shoes are going to be handed on, but it’s not yet. I’m clinging on tight!
Doctor Who Season 13 better be good!
It is good news that Whittaker is going to be returning for Doctor Who Season 13, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that this current season of the show is being very poorly received by fans.
Doctor Who Season 12 currently has an audience score of 14% on Rotten Tomatoes which is not good at all.
However, there’s always hope that the rest of the season will pick up and that Doctor Who Season 13 will be incredible.
I’m not so sure whether that will happen though.
