Doctor Strange 2, which is actually called Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, is in a bit of a tough spot at the moment.
It was announced last week that the film lost its director, which is never a good sign.
Scott Derrickson revealed that he left due to “creative differences”, however, some people believe he may have been pushed out by Marvel Studios.
The rumour is that Derrickson wanted to make a proper horror movie and Marvel Studios didn’t want that and then fired him because of it.
Anyway, they’re still going ahead with Doctor Strange 2, and they’ve also announced the film’s plot synopsis, which is unusual considering the film still hasn’t got a director yet.
Here’s the plot synopsis (via We Got This Covered):
After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Dr Stephen Strange continues his research on the Time Stone. But an old friend-turned-enemy puts an end to his plans and causes Strange to unleash unspeakable evil.
Doctor Strange 2 is going to feature some interesting Marvel Comics characters
This sounds very interesting to me. First off, I’m desperate to know who this “old friend turned-enemy” is and the obvious answer is Karl Mordo, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor.
I’m pretty sure it will be him, but you never know. There could be another character from the comics that Marvel Studios is keen on bringing into the MCU.
Marvel President, Kevin Feige, has already said that people will be surprised by some of the characters they’re bringing into Doctor Strange 2.
The other thing I’m excited to find out is what the “unspeakable evil” the plot synopsis is mentioning.
That sounds pretty strange and very exciting to me, and I reckon it’ll be another character from the Marvel comics, but who could it be?
Who do you think they’ll be bringing into Doctor Strange 2? Let us know in the comments below.
