Doctor Who’s John Barrowman Reveals Whether Captain Jack Will Return In Season 12

The last episode of Doctor Who Season 12 had a nice little surprise for long-term Doctor Who fans in the form of a Captain Jack (played by John Barrowman)  cameo.

Yep, Captain Jack was back and fans went a bit mad for it because he’s a real fan favourite.

John Barrowman’s been away from the show for a number of years and fan shave been desperate to see him return.

The Scottish-American actor has been campaigning for to come back to the show ever since his spinoff Doctor Who TV show, Torchwood ended in 2011.

Barrowman wasn’t the only one who wanted Captain Jack to return to the show. Whovians everywhere were desperate to see the character make a comeback.

Well, it happened, and the Radio Times has a little chat with the actor about his comeback and he was asked whether Captain Jack would make another return in Doctor Who Season 12.

The actor gave us Doctor Who fans hope as he pointed to the character’s last line in the episode being a possible hint that more could be coming from Jack this season.

Without quoting a line, he says to…it’s been a while since I filmed it so forgive me for not knowing exactly off the top of my head.

He says ‘I’ll be watching – if she needs me, I’ll be there,’ is kind of his last line.

So it’s kind of left on a cliffhanger to see what happens.

When the Radio Times tried to get more information out of the Doctor Who star, the stayed silent.

However, this refusal to say any more seems to indicate that he will return later on in Doctor Who Season 12.

You can read into it all you want, but I’m not saying a thing. Ha!

Jack’s cameo, which took place in the latest episode of Doctor Who Season 12, called Fugitive of the Judoon, saw him teleport the Doctor’s companions on-board his (stolen) spaceship in an attempt to warn Jodie Whittaker’s Time Lord about the incoming threat of the Lone Cyberman.

Yet he never actually got to come face to face with his old friend, but he did find out she was now a woman, which was fun.

But will John get to work with Whittaker in the future of the show? The actor’s response wasn’t very helpful.

Well, I mean if they ever ask Jack back, like I said I’ll come back at the drop of a hat. Hopefully, I’ll get to work with Jodie, that would be incredible. That would be really incredible.

What do you make of this? Do you think that Captain Jack will return in Doctor Who Season 12?
