Marvel Studios Reportedly Working On A New Secret Invasion Disney Plus Series

There are a lot of Marvel TV shows on the horizon for Disney Plus and it looks like they’re going to be very important for the future of the MCU. One of those news shows could be a Secret Invasion series.

It’s been rumoured for a while now that the Secret Invasion story might end up creeping into the MCU in some form or another, and we’re now hearing that it could all take place in an upcoming Marvel TV show.

This rumour of a new Secret Invasion TV show for Disney Plus comes from Bleeding Cool, who reported that the Secret Invasion storyline could be the basis for a brand new Marvel Studios TV show on the streaming service.

However, if this does turn out to be the case, it would be rather surprising due to Secret Invasion’s sprawling storyline and it would involve a lot of Marvel characters.

Marvel Studios has been focusing on making shows with individual characters or team-ups, and they haven’t really bee concentrating on big overarching storylines to help flesh out events.

Loki, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision…These are all shows which focus on one of two Marvel characters at most.

In order to do the Secret Invasion comic justice, they would have to make a show like Game of Thrones or a movie on the same level as Avengers: Endgame given how big the story is.

However, this could be the start of something much bigger for the Marvel TV universe.

Perhaps they’re gearing up to making something on the same scale as Game of Thrones when it comes to their TV shows, and maybe Secret Invasion is that beginning.

I would love to see them secure their A-List talent for this series, however.
