It’s been revealed that David Cronenberg is going to be returning to play agent Kovich in Star Trek Discovery Season 4. This news comes after the Canadian director spoke to Variety.

The iconic director played agent Kovich in Star Trek Discovery Season 3 and I loved seeing him act. This is something that’s always given me a thrill. I just love seeing famous directors act.

That’s one of the main reasons why I loved seeing Werner Herzog turn up in The Mandalorian and he was brilliant in that show. I had a very similar feeling when I saw David Cronenberg turn up in Star Trek Discovery.

Here’s what David Cronenberg told Variety about returning to play agent Kovich  in the upcoming season (Season 4) of Star Trek Discovery:

He is an interrogator who’s also kind of an academic historian. He plays his cards pretty close to his vest, as does the Emperor. And as he tries to pry open some secrets from her, she actually is doing the same to him.

So, it sounds like Cronenberg’s coming up with a whole backstory for his mysterious character in Star Trek Discovery. This is something that I just love hearing him do. He’s pretty meticulous in his approach to things.
