Charlie Cox recently revealed that he won’t be playing Daredevil in Spider-Man 3 which means someone else might be cast in the role.
He revealed this during a recent interview with ComicBook.com in which he was asked whether he might be in Spider-Man 3.
His response was pretty final. He revealed that he’s definitely not going to be in the third Spider-Man movie.
This is a huge shame because Charlie Cox is brilliant at Matt Murdock and would be great as him in the MCU.
However, it means that if the rumours that Daredevil is going to be in Spider-Man 3 are true, then he’ll be played by another actor.
“I hadn’t heard those rumours, but it’s certainly not with my Daredevil. I’m not involved in it,” Cox told ComicBook.com during a recent watch party.
He continued: “If that’s true, it’s not with me. It’s with another actor.”
That said, this doesn’t mean that Cox won’t be appearing in the MCU at some point.

The British actor went on to reveal that he’d love the opportunity to team with Tom Holland in a future Marvel movie.
“Look, I had a great time. I’m so grateful I got to play that character as long as I did. Of course, I’d love to keep going. I’d love to be involved with it,” the actor revealed.
He then added: “As a fan of the Marvel movies, I’ve loved the little stuff where they pop up here and there but because we were on Netflix, we weren’t able to do as much for legal reasons, I don’t know why.
“But I love the idea of Jessica and Matt showing up in the background or Matt as a lawyer advising Peter Parker. That’d be really, really cool,” he finished.
