Crisis On Infinite Earths Officially Connects The DC TV And Movies Universes

WARNING: SPOILERS for The CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earths in this article!

Guys, it officially happened. The DC Comics TV and movies universes collided in the penultimate episode of The CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover.

This was mad. Super mad. Ezra Miller’s The Flash ended up cameoing in the show very briefly as he and Grant Gustin’s version of Barry Allen came face-to-face, and it will say, it was weird.

It felt a bit like we were cheating on the movies and the TV shows at the same time. It was such a strange feeling, but I also couldn’t contain my glee when it happened.

These crossover episodes have been pretty darn epic. They’ve been rather confusing, especially if you haven’t been keeping up with every single CW DC Comics TV show (which I’m ashamed to admit, I haven’t).

However, there have been real standout and crowd-pleasing moments, and this was one of them.

If you’re a fan of DC Comics, the movies and the TV shows, then I’m sure most of you would have seen this moment for yourselves, but I just had to write about it after having seen it.

I also think there are some DC Comics fans who don’t pay much attention to The CW’s TV shows, and I think they should watch this moment and then binge-watch the whole of The Flash series.

But, anyway, just in case you didn’t see it, and wouldn’t mind a bit of a spoiler for the Crisis On Infinite Earths, then keep on reading.

Grant Gustin was chased by Anti-Monitor and he ends up in a memory of STAR Labs inside the Speed Force and this is the moment when he meets Ezra Miller’s version of The Flash.

This meeting us basically played for laughs in the TV show as Miller’s Barry Allen asks Gustin’s whether he’s cosplaying as The Flash.

Gustin the calls Ezra Miller The Flash which is something he hasn’t been called yet in the movies, and then they end up revealing they’re both called Barry Allen in real life.

The scene then comes to an end with Miller fading away and saying, “I told Victor this was possible,” referring to his friend and fellow Justice League member Cyborg.

This is all the proof we need that the TV and movies universes are connected and that’s fantastic news.

This shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise since Miller did tell MTV back in 2015 that he was happy about there being two version of The Flash and said he’d love to act alongside Grant Gustin’s Flash.

“I think it’s awesome,” Miller said.

“And come on, we’re the Flash! It’s parallel universes! Grant Gustin is the Flash and I’m the Flash, don’t you see? It’s the event horizon, we crossed it baby! Grant and I are chillin’. We’re gonna have a race, it’s gonna be dope. Like Jay Garrick and Barry Allen back in the day, it’s gonna be dope.”
