Captain America 4 Might See Red Skull Return As The Film’s Villain

Captain America 4 is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and we’re starting to hear rumours about who will be in the movie, and it sounds like Red Skull will be returning as the film’s villain.

We were first introduced to Red Skull in Captain America: The First Avenger and he was played brilliantly by Hugo Weaving, but he didn’t turn up again in the MCU until Avengers: Endgame, and it wasn’t Weaving playing the role.

Avengers: Endgame saw the return of Red Skull and he was being played by The Walking Dead’s Ross Marquand, who can do a pitch-perfect impression of Huge Weaving’s version of the character.

It’s been rumoured that Weaving really didn’t enjoy being in Captain America: The First Avenger and didn’t want to return to the MCU, which is why we’ve had to wait so long for the character to make his return.

However, now that Marvel has Marquand playing the role, it means that Red Skull can return in Captain America 4, and according to We Got This Covered that’s exactly what’s going to happen.

It’s still unsure whether Chris Evans will be in the movie or whether Marvel will opt to recast Captain America or have Anthony Mackie’s Falcon as the First Avenger.

We’re just going to have to wait and see what Marvel decides to do moving forward with Captain America, but what we do know is that they want to make another movie with their iconic superhero.

It has been revealed that the future version of Captain America will be a woman in the upcoming Marvel 2099 comics, so they might try to do something similar with the MCU movies.
