Avengers: Endgame Directors Open Up On Keanu Reeves’ Netflix Superhero Movie Past Midnight

People have been desperate to see Keanu Reeves in a superhero movie, and it turns out that Marvel President Kevin Feige’s been pretty keen on bringing the actor into the MCU.

In all honesty, Keanu Reeves already is in a superhero movie franchise with the John Wick movies. John Wick is basically a superhero, or at least, he has super-human abilities with a gun and can take a beating.

Anyway, Avengers: Endgame’s directors, Anthony and Joe Russo have been chatting about their upcoming movie 21 Bridges with Inverse, and they also opened up on their superhero movie starring Keanu Reeves.

The film is called Past Midnight, and details on the film are rather scarce. However, we do know that it’ll star Keanu Reeves and it will see him play a superhero.

Inverse asked the Russo brothers whether they could reveal anything about Past Midnight, and Joe was the one to respond and revealed that they can’t say much, but they can say that the script is fascinating.

Sounds like Keanu Reeves’ superhero movie will be a blast

Here’s what Joe Russo told Inverse about Past Midnight in full:

Past Midnight’s still in a very formative stage. So it’s probably not best to talk about it yet, but it is a fascinating script.

I would love to know what this film is about. At the moment, we do know that it’ll be coming to Netflix and that Rick Famuyiwa will direct the picture from a script by TJ Fixman.

Famuyiwa has been rather busy of late. His The Mandalorian episode aired last week, and I thought it was a great episode and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
