Brie Larson And Samuel L Jackson Reteaming For Netflix Thriller

Brie Larson And Samuel L Jackson Reteaming For Netflix Thriller

Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Brie Larson And Samuel L Jackson are back together again in a new Netflix thriller titled The Forgotten.

The two of them make an interesting pair. They have bonded as very close friends ever since they started working on Kong: Skull Island. The two worked closely together in MCU’s Captain Marvel; it’s been said that Jackson got a bigger role in the Marvel film because of her.

They constantly support each other in each other’s work. Jackson himself wanted to be involved in Larson’s first solo directorial debut in Netflix’s Unicorn Store, which she also produced. Larson went to see Jackson on Broadway in The Piano Lesson.

Larson even calls Jackson her ‘soulmate.’ So, it shows that they love working with each other. We know that she’s going to star with him again in The Marvels. But after that, it seems like they’ll be getting another project together.

Giant Freakin Robot reports that the pair is already set to star in a new Netflix film titled The Forgotten. The movie will focus on Larson’s character, called Alice, who is an adopted daughter of Jackson’s character. In the film, she discovers a dark secret about her family that leads to questions about who she really is.

Details about the new movie are very little. So, we don’t know yet who is going to direct the film, who else is starring, or who is writing the project. But it does seem like that Larson is enjoying her work with Netflix and is given a bit of leeway on whom she would like to work with.

GFR also reports that Netflix has two other projects lined up for Larson. The Captain Marvel actress is set to star in The Agent, where she would play a James Bond-like character and is also poised to possibly direct the film.

She is also set to star in another thriller for the streaming network titled The Mind’s Eye. In the film, she has the power to move objects with her mind. She’s pretty much X-men’s Jean Grey, and somehow the film might even have Stephen King’s Fire Starter vibes to it.

Anyway, all her new projects are in early development with no official announcements yet. So, we’ll have to see how it all progresses. While Jackson seems to have already signed on to The Forgotten. There is a possibility that he will also be asked to be part of The Mind’s Eye and The Agent, especially with the latter if Larson will push through about directing the project.

Not all of the projects that Brie Larson has worked on have Samuel L. Jackson in it. Larson has an upcoming drama series on Apple TV Plus titled Lessons in Chemistry with Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Thomas Mann, Kevin Sussman and Beau Bridges.

Because of their close friendship, we wonder if Captain Marvel will show up in the Samuel L Jackson-led MCU series Secret Invasion. I’m pretty sure Nick Fury will need all the help he can get in the story. Then again, Carol Danvers might be too busy saving multiple worlds.

Other than Lessons in Chemistry, Larson will be returning to portray Envy Adams in Scott Pilgrim: The Anime which she played in Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. She will also be part of the Fast and Furious franchise as Tess in Fast X this coming May 19, 2023.

Meanwhile, Jackson has several projects lined up for himself. He will be in Garfield, The Kill Room, Argylle, and a film adaptation of the Broadway play The Piano Lesson.

For now, you’ll be able to see the soulmates together in The Marvels, which is set to release on November 10, 2023.
