Brad Pitt might be joining Deadpool 3, if this new report is to be believed. It’s being reported that the Bullet Train actor is currently in talks to star in the third Deadpool movie, which is currently being developed by Marvel Studios. The movie is set to see Ryan Reynolds return as the Merc With A Mouth and it’ll be the first Deadpool film to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
This report comes to us via Giant Freakin Robot, and it would be a rather strange choice, especially considering the fact that Brad Pitt actually turned up in Deadpool 2 for a few seconds. In that movie, he played a member of X-Force. To be specific, Pitt played a character named the Vanisher. His main power is invisibility, and it kept the actor’s identity secret until his violent death via electrocution (which was hilarious).

No explicit details about what role Brad Pitt is reportedly in talks for with regards to Deadpool 3 are revealed in Giant Freakin Robot’s article. However, they do state that, “it is entirely possible that Brad Pitt will be showing up (such as it is) as the Vanisher once again if he is cast in Deadpool 3“. They go on to theorise that they could end up using some time-travelling technology in the movie which would be provided by Josh Brolin’s Cable.
However, it’ll be interesting to see what will happen with Josh Brolin and whether he’ll turn up in the movie as he also played Thanos in the MCU. Now that Deadpool is going to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s not sure whether Brolin will get to play Cable again. However, Brolin has revealed that he would love to play Cable again. It seems as though he really wants to work with Reynolds again.

As for Deadpool 3, we know that Reynolds will be returning as Wade Wilson – aka the Merc With A Mouth, aka Deadpool. We also know that he’ll be joined by Leslie Uggams who portrayed Deadpool’s elderly roommate in the first two movies. It was also revealed not too long ago that the movie is going to be directed by Shawn Levy. Levy has worked with Reynolds twice before, on Free Guy and most recently on the Netflix movie, The Adam Project. The two of them seem to really enjoy working together.
The movie’s initial script was written by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin. However, Marvel Studios has rehired the writers of the first two Deadpool films, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to help adapt the final version of the script. Reynolds is also said to be working on the movie’s script as a co-writer. It seems as though it’s all things go as far as the third Deadpool movie is concerned. I really cannot wait to see how it all turns out. There’s no official release date yet for the movie. However, I have a suspicion that the movie will be released on September 6th, 2024.
