Batman & Cyborg Were Cut Out Of Peacemaker Finale

Batman-Cyborg-Cut-Out-Peacemaker-Finale

It’s been revealed that both Batman and Cyborg were cut out of Peacemaker’s bombastic finale, and we’re not really sure why.

Before we continue, I know many people out there might consider this to be a spoiler for the HBO Max series, and I do apologise about that.

I actually haven’t had the chance to watch Peacemaker’s finale, and I do find the news that Batman and Cyborg were cut out of it to be a tad of a spoiler, so I do understand why people might not appreciate this article’s headline.

All I can do it apologise and hope you can forgive me.

Right, onto the news. It was revealed by an actor and model called Matt Turner that he was hired to play the Ben Affleck version of Batman in the Peacemaker finale.

He was a body-double and even got into the suit and shot some scenes as Affleck’s Batman for the Peacemaker finale.

Here’s what Turner had to say about Batman and Cyborg being cut out of the Peacemaker finale (via Instagram):

After that epic #peacemaker finale I can finally post this. Sadly I(& Cyborg) were cut from the final edit. Why? Only @jamesgunn & @warnerbrosentertainment know that. While it’s disappointing to be scrubbed out, this was still a blast, and a dream come true to wear the suit!!! Big thanks to everyone involved!!

So, it seems as though they shot scenes involving the two members of the Justice League.

But, for some reason, Gunn and Warners decided against keeping the two characters in the finale.

Why were Batman and Cyborg cut?

I’m pretty sure that DCEU fans out there will be asking why they decided to do this?

We don’t know, but we can speculate. It could have been for story reasons? They might have felt that the finale would have feature too many DCEU characters if they added Batman and Cyborg.

There could also be other reasons why Warners might have decided against bringing Cyborg back in particular.

The whole Ray Fisher vs. Walter Hamada and Joss Whedon thing might have been a factor.

Again, this is all pure speculation and I don’t actually know what happened here.

But, I will be asking around for some sort of explanation. Even Turner didn’t know why his scene as Batman was cut.

Why do you think Warner Bros and James Gunn decided to cut Batman out of Peacemaker’s finale?
