Apple Has ‘Caught’ TikTok Spying On Millions Of iPhone Users

It’s been revealed that Apple has ‘caught’ TikTok spying on millions of iPhone users via the popular video sharing platform.

This really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to many of us.

According to Forbes, Apple has found out that TikTok has been spying on their iPhone users.

This is pretty big news because Apple prides themselves on making very secure phones.

Their users won’t be too happy to find out that the Chinese app TikTok has been listening in to their conversations.

This came after a serious problem in iOS 14 was spotted.

It was revealed that some apps can secretly access the clipboard on users’ devices.

However, this issue was supposedly been fixed and once the new OS is released this autumn, users will be warned whenever an app reads the last thing copied to the clipboard.

This means that there is a pretty high risk that some apps have already been abusing people’s privacy in this way.

One of the apps caught spying on iPhone users was the Chinese app, TikTok.

They were caught by security researchers Talal Haj Bakry and Tommy Mysk.

This ended up being a pretty big issue for Apple given the current political climate between China and the US.

TikTok owner Bytedance told Forbes that the problem related to the use of an outdated Google advertising SDK and that was being replaced.
