AMC Rumoured To Be Planning 10 More Years Of The Walking Dead

It’s now being rumoured that AMC is planning to have 10 more years of The Walking Dead, which means the franchise will live far beyond The Walking Dead Season 11. This rumour comes to us from insider Daniel Richtman who posted this on his Patreon page.

So, before going into this rumour, I need to stress that this is a rumour. I do cover Daniel Richtman’s scoops here on Small Screen, but he’s quite hit and miss. That said, he’s proven to be right about things in the past.

However, even a broken clock is correct twice a day… Isn’t that what people say…? I also think this rumour is pretty much spot on because it makes a lot of sense. AMC isn’t in the best way financially due to the Coronavirus pandemic. They haven’t been able to open their cinemas, and this means that they need to find a way to make money. One of the ways they make money is by making The Walking Dead and its spinoff shows.

We already know that they’re planning on making films set in The Walking Dead universe. They’re also making spinoff shows, such as Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

It makes sense to think that AMC has ten more years of The Walking Dead planned out and that they would want to make sure that the franchise lives on beyond the main show. The Walking Dead Season 11 will be the main show’s last, but it looks like it won’t be the death of The Walking Dead.
