Altered Carbon Season 2’s First Trailer Teases A Dark New Mystery

Altered Carbon Season 2 is coming and we’ve just had a new trailer for the upcoming Netflix show.

This season will be quite different from the first in the sense that its lead character will be played by a new actor.

The first season of the Netflix show featured Joel Kinnaman as Kovacs and the second season will star Mackie in the same role.

How is this possible, you ask? Well, it’s all to do with something called sleeve bodies.

That sounds kind of disgusting, but the idea’s pretty simple.

Basically, sleeves mean that people in this cyberpunk future can’t die.

If your body fails, your consciousness can be transferred inside another body, or ‘sleeve’.

This is how Mackie is playing the same character as Kinnaman in Season 1.

It means that a different actor can play the same character in each season which I quite like.

Altered Carbon was created by Laeta Kalogridis for Netflix and the show is based on a 2002 novel of the same title by British author Richard K. Morgan.

I really liked the first season. I liked it’s strange tone and slightly camp nature.

It’s a pretty promising sci-fi show in a time when they’re too far and few between.

Mackie is a great lead for the second season, and judging by this trailer, he’s going to be just as intense as Kinnaman was in Season 1.

What do you make of Altered Carbon Season 2’s new trailer? Do you like it as much as do?
