Zack Snyder had given us yet another image of Jared Leto’s Joker in his upcoming cut of Justice League, and it’s rather biblical. He shared this image via a recent article in Vanity Fair.

We got a previous look at Jared Leto’s new look as the Joker in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League cut, and I really like this new look. I thought it was much more stripped back and felt a bit more genuine.

His look in 2016’s Suicide Squad was just too garish and he had way too many self-referential tattoos for my liking. I think many other people would agree with me on that one.

However, it seems as though they haven’t removed all of Jared Leto’s Joker’s eccentricities as this new photo clearly reveals. In this new photo, Jared Leto’s Joker is clearly referencing Jesus with his crown of thorns, and it’s actually riled people up a bit online.

Yet, this is the kind of thing that the Joker might get a kick out of, so I actually think it’s quite well done. He would want to anger people, and this is definitely getting people a little bit angry online. But, that’s just playing into the character’s hands.

I actually think this is what Leto and Snyder were going for when they shot this picture. I highly doubt that they’ll use this imagery in the movie.
