It’s now being rumoured that Willem Dafoe is not only in talks to appear in Spider-Man 3, but also one other MCU movie. This news comes from Daniel Richtman’s Patreon page.

This does link back to an article we wrote a few months ago in which we were informed that Willem Dafoe was in talks to return to play the Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3. This now seems to have been confirmed by other media outlets and some scoopers out there.

Daniel Richtman is now claiming that Willem Dafoe is in talks to play the Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3 and one more MCU movie, which is an interesting addition to our story.

Willem Dafoe is hands down one of the great comic book movie villains of all time. He played the Green Goblin, a.k.a. Norman Osborn, in Sam Raimi’s 2004 Spider-Man film.

There have now been rumours that this upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie will feature Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their versions of Spider-Man. One of the other rumours is that they’ll be fighting their own villains in the movie. This means that Tobey could be going up against Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Andrew could be having to fight Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

I’m going to be honest here, this sounds like a lot to me. I’m also not sure which other MCU movie Willem could be turning up in. Maybe it could be for a future live-action Spider-Verse film?
