Will Smith has revealed during a recent red carpet interview that he would love to see Warner Bros Pictures release David Ayer’s cut of DC Films’ Suicide Squad.

He revealed this whilst talking to Variety’s Marc Malkin on the red carpet for the upcoming TV show, Bel-Air.

Smith starred as Deadshot in David Ayer’s 2016 Suicide Squad film.

However, it’s no secret that the movie we all watched in the cinemas was not the movie that Ayer wanted us to see.

David Ayer’s been very public over the last few years about there being multiple versions of Suicide Squad.

He has his favourite cut, which was the movie he wanted to make, but Warner Bros Pictures didn’t want to release it.

There have since been calls for Warner Bros to just release the Ayer Cut of the movie.

Now Will Smith has added his voice to the many calls for Warner Bros to release the Ayer Cut of the movie.

Here’s what Smith had to say about it when he was asked whether Warners should go ahead and just release David Ayer’s Suicide Squad cut:

Let me tell you, there’s a whole lot that stayed on the floor for Suicide Squad. I’m into it. I love that world. I love what was created in both versions. I absolutely would love to [see it].

There are now so many actors in the movie that have called for the Ayer Cut to be released.

The likes of John Cena, Zack Snyder and Joel Kinnaman have all called for David Ayer’s version of the movie to be released.

HBO Max would be the perfect place for the Ayer Cut, and we here at Small Screen think that Warners should just go ahead and release the movie.
