It’s being reported that executives over at Warner Bros. Pictures are “not impressed” with Zack Snyder’s Justice League which is due to be released on HBO Max in just a few days’ time.

This report comes to us from Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity who’s sources informed him that they are un-enthusiastic about the movie.

Now, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise since there’s been a pretty obvious rift between Snyder and the executives over at Warner Bros.

It’s no secret that they did not want this movie to ever see the light of day.

Even though Snyder revealed in a recent interview that the initial call that kickstarted the Snyder Cut of Justice League going into production came from Warner Bros’ boss, Toby Emmerich, the real push to get the film made came from AT&T, Warner Bros’ parent company.

They saw the numbers the Snyder Cut was doing online and thought it would be a great marketing coup to get the film finished and out there.

And they were right. The movie’s garnered huge interest from the fans and the most recent trailer is Warner Bros’ second-most-watched trailer of all time, just behind Godzilla Vs. Kong.

Anyway, here’s what Mikey Sutton wrote on the matter:

The problem is that WB executives didn’t share the enthusiasm of Zack Snyder’s fans. It was AT&T and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson that, quite honestly, fueled The Snyder Cut to materialize alongside the widespread public affection of Zack Snyder followers. When I scooped back in November 2019 that The Snyder Cut would be coming to HBO Max, I made that known. On January 18, 2021, I reported on Warner Bros.’ lack of faith in the project. I recently heard that WB execs were not impressed with The Snyder Cut. That explains their behaviour. It seems like Zack Snyder is a one-man army in getting the word out about his movie. They simply want it to go away.

He then went on to add that the news that J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot is working on a Superman reboot was a deliberate ploy on behalf of Warner Bros. Pictures to take interest away from Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

This is literally crazy! Warner Bros. is really digging themselves into a hole I don’t think they’ll be able to get out of.

What do you make of this news? Are you shocked to hear that Warner Bros. executives don’t like the Snyder Cut?
