People are still talking about that incredible Watchmen finale episode and they now what to know whether Watchmen Season 2 will happen.

The first season of Watchmen was always supposed to be just one complete story according to the show’s creator, Damon Lindelof.

However, he did say they would happily make a second season if the show’s fans want it, and yet it seems as if they don’t know where it would go.

Now, one of the show’s directors, Stephen Williams, was asked whether Watchmen Season 2 would happen any time soon.

Williams spoke to Variety and he was asked whether would want to return to direct episodes of Watchmen Season 2.

[It’s] a question so above my pay grade that I would not even know how to begin to venture an answer.

His fellow Watchmen Season 1 director, Nicole Kassell added that she needed a bit of a break.

I’m still kind of recuperating from production. I just think it’s gonna take time to say what Season 2 would be.

However, Watchmen star Regina King’s answer was very clear and she simply said: “Absolutely” when asked whether she would return for Season 2.

The show’s creator and writer, Damon Lindelof, when into a bit more detail and he revealed that he doesn’t have an idea of where the story would go.

I am deeply, profoundly appreciative for how well received the season has been up until now, and I don’t want to feel like I’m ungrateful, but I still don’t have any inclination whatsoever to continue the story, and that is largely and almost exclusively based on the fact that I don’t have an idea. If I’m going to be involved in any more Watchmen, I should be able to answer the questions, why, and why now, and the answers to those questions shouldn’t be, ‘Well because that’s what you do, because the first one was good.’

He went on to add that he doesn’t think there shouldn’t be a second season, explaining:

I’m not saying there shouldn’t be a second season of Watchmen, and I’m not even saying that that season shouldn’t feature some of the characters in this season of Watchmen. I just don’t know what it should be.

I’m just hoping he has an idea of what could happen next in Watchmen soon, because I, like many others, want to see a Season 2.
