Top Gun: Maverick’s New Trailer Sees Tom Cruise Back In The Cockpit

Top: Gun Maverick’s new trailer has arrived and it shows Tom Cruise back in action as Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell who’s now working as a flight instructor.

Top Gun: Maverick is a sequel fans of the first movie have been waiting for for what seems like ages now, and we’re finally going to get to see it in 2020.

The films second trailer has now been released, and it looks pretty darn good.

Tom Cruise is back as Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell and he’s now working as a flight instructor. The trailer actually reveals that he was ordered back, which is an interesting little twist.

There’s a lot of talk about how incredible a pilot Maverick is, or was. He’s basically a legend, yet it also seems as though stuff’s happened to Maverick between now and after Top Gun was released.

It does seem as though he might have got into some trouble which meant he had to leave the air force.

We don’t know quite yet the specifics of what’s been going on in Maverick’s life, but it looks like he’s got a thing going with Jennifer Connelly’s character who’s been described as a single mother and owner of a bar. Sounds right up Maverick’s street.

The trailer also teases that Maverick’s going to get to fly a very interesting new plane, which looks a bit like a spaceship, and it goes very fast indeed.

It looks like one of those planes that can’t be detected by radar, and it does look like Maverick’s in a spacesuit in the trailer.

Is Maverick going to be going to space in this movie? We’re going to have to wait and see.

Top Gun: Maverick also stars Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley Bradshaw, Jon Hamm as Vice Admiral, Ed Harris as a rear admiral and Val Kilmer returning as Vice Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky.

Top Gun: Maverick will be hitting cinemas on June 26th, 2020.
