The Witcher Season 3 Officially Greenlit By Netflix

The Witcher season 3 has already been greenlit by Netflix, even before Season 2 has hit our screens.

As confirmed by Variety, the third season of the show, based on the popular video game series has been confirmed by Netflix.

The announcement was made during the streamer’s TUDUM event, which took place on Saturday 25 September.

During The Witcher proportion of the event, two new clips from the upcoming season were unveiled.

One scene featured the monstrous Nivellen, played by Kristofer Hivju.

The other featured a scene between Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivera and Ciri, played by Freya Allan.

Further announcements at the event confirmed that Netflix is moving forward with multiple new Witcher spin-off shows.

The event unveiled the first look at the prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin.

The world is going to be expanded

Additionally, the streamer announced plans for a second anime feature to follow on from this year’s The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

The studio also confirmed its plans for a family-friendly series.

Netflix is going full steam ahead with its plans for its Witcher themed inter-connected universe.

Season 1 is now available to watch on Netflix.

Season 2 of the hit Netflix show will arrive on December 17th.
