The Wheel Of Time Season 3 Confirmed For Amazon Prime
It’s been revealed officially that The Wheel Of Time Season 3 is in the works over at Amazon Studios, which is news that we brought you a while back.
This official confirmation comes courtesy of Deadline, who reports that the show’s been picked up for two more seasons.
The interesting thing here is that the article doesn’t make it clear whether The Wheel Of Time has been picked up for Seasons 3 and 4 or whether the author of the piece is referring to Seasons 2 and 3.
I will try to get confirmation from Deadline and also Amazon Prime Video on that.
However, we did report back on January 21st this year that The Wheel Of Time Season 3 had been given the greenlight by Amazon Studios.
So, this is just a nice bit of confirmation on that front.
The Wheel Of Time has been a hugely successful show for Amazon Prime Video.
However, it wasn’t hugely well received by fans of the books the show is based on.
I’ve seen first hand the number of people complaining how the show deviated too much from the story line in the books.
It seems as though they’ll have to work a bit harder in seasons 2 and 3 to get fans of the original books on their side.
The Wheel Of Time Season 3 is in the works
The Wheel Of Time novels were written by Robert Jordan, with Brandon Sanderson as a co-author for the final three novels.
They have a very big and very devoted following.
It was pretty big news when it was revealed that Amazon had bought the TV rights to the books.
It’s going to be interesting to see how well the second and third seasons of The Wheel Of Time end up doing on the streaming service.
The show stars the likes of Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins, Madeleine Madden, Josha Stradowski and Marcus Rutherford.
Barney Harris did play Mat in the first season, but he’s since been replaced by Donal Fínn in the upcoming seasons.
Rafe Judkins developed the series and also serves as showrunner.
