Did Idris Elba Just Reveal His Character In The Suicide Squad?

It seems as though Idris Elba might have just revealed his role in James Gunn’s upcoming The Suicide Squad and fans are excited.

There have been plenty of articles theorising which character Idris Elba will be playing in The Suicide Squad.

However, we still haven’t had official confirmation yet regarding his character in the movie.

Some people thought he might be replacing Will Smith as Deadshot to begin with.

However, those rumours were quickly squashed by Warner Bros. and Jame Gunn himself.

It seems as though Elba might have given the game away in a new video which was posted on The Suicide Squad’s official Twitter account.

The video consisted of the movie’s stars wishing James Gunn a happy birthday.

They were, for the most part, in character to an extent, and for his message, Elba decided to slow down the speed making it sound like some sort of roar.

This got people talking online and now the theory is that this is Elba teasing that he’s going to be playing Bronze Tiger in the movie.

Bronze Tiger toes the line in the comics between hero and villain.

He’s what you might call an antihero.

He was in The CW show Arrow and was played by actor Michael Jai White.

In that show, he started off as a villain and ended up becoming an ally to Oliver Queen.

He was also in the Suicide Squad comics, having been recruited by Amanda Waller and then set up as the team’s leader.
