The Cuphead Show Season 4 is something that fans of the series really want to see, and they have been calling for Netflix to renew the show. However, it was revealed not too long ago that this third season was going to be the show’s final one, which came as a bit of a shock to the show’s many fans. They are now trying to get the hashtag #RenewTheCupheadShow trending on Twitter. My question is, will it work?

Every episode is written by Deeki Deke, Clay Morrow, Adam Paloian, Cosmo Segurson, and Dave Wasson. The show’s first season was released on Netflix on February 18th, 2022, and consisted of twelve episodes. Netflix went on to order a total of 36 episodes, and they would end up getting released as three seasons.

The second season was released on August 19th, 2022, and consisted of thirteen episodes, with the third and eighth episodes being close to 25 minutes long. The third season was released on November 18th, 2022. It consisted of eleven episodes, with the first and final episodes of the season being approximately 25 minutes long and the sixth episode being approximately 30 minutes long.

The show does have a lot of fans. However, it was criticised by several critics for lacking any real substance. The show’s first season got a critics score of 69% on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. However, it does have to be said that 16 critics gave the first season a positive review, with an average rating of 7.0/10.

The site’s critical consensus is the following

While The Cuphead Show! fluidly recreates its video game forebear’s eye-popping animation, this good-looking vessel is still waiting for some substance to fill it.

Bloody Disgusting’s review of the series called it a:

An ambitiously gorgeous yet empty distraction that’s more family-friendly than its source material.

It does have to be stated that these reviews are all for the show’s first season, and the second and third seasons haven’t been widely reviewed. However, I have noticed that fans have loved the second and third seasons. I would argue that it’s one of Netflix’s more popular animated shows, and they have a lot of good ones on their streaming service.
